Border Field State Park
In what may be the LAST of the authorized visits to this location along the California-Mexican border, a meetup.com group ventured out into the remnants of World War II gun batteries. Yes, guns. They’re all gone now, but the bunkers remain. Check them out here.

Comic-Con 2008
This gallery would have been filled with really nice high resolution pictures, but in my haste to get to the venue, I neglected to charge my digital camera’s battery. Doh! Still, I got a nice picture (and was able to talk for a bit) of Naoki Mori (Toshiko from Torchwood).
